Safe Kids Day 2017 and 10th Annual Bike Safety Day at Kaleideum Downtown
May 13, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Safe Kids Day 2017 is a nationwide initiative to bring awareness about preventable injuries, the #1 killer of kids in the US. Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont, Brenner Children’s Hospital, and their partners will provide hands-on education to promote child injury prevention and motivate families in the community to join us in keeping kids safe. Learn about water, child passenger, home, fire, and pedestrian safety. This event is in conjunction with the 10th Annual Bike Safety Day, a family-friendly event geared toward educating children about the importance of bicycle safety and wearing a properly fitted helmet. Bring your bike and helmet to the outdoor bicycle rodeo led by the W-S Police Department’s Downtown Bike Patrol Unit. Free, outdoor event. (Museum admission not included.)
In the event of rain, activities will move indoors to the Library and Under the Stars, and entrance to these rooms will be free. To explore the rest of the Museum, admission will be charged.
